Detention
The principal has the authority to detain a student if his/her progress in the class to which he/she has been provisionally admitted is found to be unsatisfactory.

Use of English
Students should talk to each other and to the teachers in English, once they are in the school campus. This is stressed up on, taking into consideration the importance of communicative skill in English as far as various professions are concerned.

Examinations

Classes 1 to 5
The whole academic year is divided into two semesters. Monthly tests will be administered to students at the end of each month and semester assessment will be done based on these assessments. Students are expected to score at least E-grade in every subject.

Classes 6 to 10
The whole academic year is divided into two semesters. The 1st semester runs from June to September and the second semester runs from October to March. Each semester contains two Formative assessments (FAs and one summative Assessment. (SA). The weightage for the Formative Assessments is 10% each in every subject and the Summative Assessments is 30 % each in every subject. The promotion of the students depends on the cumulative scores in every subject. A student is expected to score at least a D-grade in all subjects in order to be qualifies for the next class. However, in case a student failed to get a D-grade, he/she will be given a single chance to write a re-test in SA – 2 at he end of the year. Failure in making up will end in detention in the same class.

Classes 11 & 12
The academic year is divided into three terms. Three terminal examinations and two mid terminal examinations will be conducted in a year. The students are expected to score at least 40% to be promoted further.
Pupils absent for the tests or examinations shall not be re-examined.
Students found to be guilty of any malpractices will be subjected to disciplinary action.
Pupils failing in a class for a second time will be asked to leave the school.

Advisory board.
An advisory board comprising representatives of the parents and teachers and the management is functional in the school. This is conceived with a view of facilitating effective and smooth functioning of the school.

Instructions to Parents.
1.  Parents are requested to read the rules of the school carefully and to assist their children in maintaining them
2.  Parents will ensure that
    a)    Fees are paid on the scheduled dates
    b)    Children attend the school in full neat uniform.
    c)    They bring the required books and writing materials.
3. Parents are not allowed to visit the class rooms during the class hours without the permission of the principal
4. Parents are requested to approach the principal with suggestions and complaints during working hours.
5. Parents shall not send any child suffering from any contagious disease to  school.
6.  Children should not be sent to the school wearing gold ornaments.
7.  The school does not accept responsibility for the loss of books, money, umbrella, Tiffin boxes etc.
8.  Parents should make it a point to come and sign the progress cards of their wards on the dates assigned to them by the school.
9.  Parents who are desirous of withdrawing their children form the school should apply for the Transfer Certificates within one week of publishing of results.
10. Parents and students are requested to comply with all the above rules.

Festivals and Fairs
 Onam is celebrated in the school with various cultural Programmes, Sweet distribution and an Inter-house competition in Floral Design Making
A mehandi designing competition is conducted to commemorate Id-Ul-Fitr.
Christmas is celebrated with cake distribution and a competition in Crib Making.
An Elaborate Science Exhibition is conducted every year during November to cater to the scientific temper of the students.

Morning Assembly
Morning Assembly is conducted on two days of a week – on Mondays and Fridays. Different classes, in turns are entrusted with the duty of conducting the Assembly. The assembly starts with the school prayer followed by National Pledge, News Headlines, a speech by a student, thought for the day by a student, GK contest, daily updates in English Language conducted by the Communicative English Department and principal’s instructions. It ends with the National anthem.
